Privacy Policy

We collect the following information.

• Contact form. Your name, email address, phone number (optional), property address (optional) and message.
• Payment. When you buy a listing plan, Stripe, our payment processor, collects your email address and payment details. In our Stripe account we see your name, email, the plan, the amount and your card's brand and last four digits. We never see or store your full card number.
• Identity check. We verify your identity through Stripe with a photo of your government-issued ID and a selfie. See section 3.
• Property details form. Your property's address, rent, bedrooms and bathrooms, pet policy and photos, and the contact details you want rental leads sent to. The form is hosted by Google Forms, which may ask you to sign in with a Google account.
• Rental inquiries. When a prospective tenant contacts us about your listing, we collect their name, contact details and message so we can pass them to you.
• Automatic data. Our website host logs technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. Our Google Ads tag and Google reCAPTCHA also collect data; see section 6.

We verify our customers' identity to help keep fraudulent listings off the MLS. We use Stripe Identity, a service of our payment processor, Stripe.

• What Stripe collects. A photo of your government-issued photo ID (driver's license, state ID card or passport), including the details printed on it, such as your name, date of birth, address and ID number; a selfie; and technical data about your device. Stripe compares your selfie with the photo on your ID to confirm they match. This comparison uses facial recognition technology.
• Your consent. Stripe asks for your consent before the check starts. If you don't consent, the check can't be completed; contact us and we'll explain your options.
• What we receive. Whether your check passed or failed, the reason if it failed, and the details read from your ID, such as your name, date of birth and address. Authorized staff can view your full verification in our Stripe account, including the ID and selfie images.
• How we use it. To confirm the person placing the order is who they say they are, to link the check to your order and payment, and to detect and prevent fraud. If your check fails or isn't completed, we contact you.
• What we don't do. Your ID images, selfie and ID number are never stored on our website. We don't use your verification data for advertising, and we don't sell it.
• How long it's kept. Stripe keeps verification data under its own privacy policy. You can ask us to have Stripe delete your verification data, unless we need it to investigate fraud or a dispute.

We use your information to provide our listing service. We do not sell your personal information.

• To process your order and publish your listing to the Stellar MLS.
• To verify your identity and prevent fraud.
• To pass rental inquiries about your listing to you.
• To answer your messages and send you updates about your order.
• To keep the business records a licensed Florida real estate brokerage must keep.
• To show our ads to people who have visited our website (see section 6).

We share information with the following.

• Stellar MLS and the rental sites it feeds, such as Zillow and Realtor.com, receive your property's address, rent, details and photos to publish your listing. This listing is public.
• You, the property owner, receive the name, contact details and message of prospective tenants who ask about your listing.
• Stripe receives your payment details, ID images, selfie and verification results, to take payments and verify identity.
• Google receives your property form answers and photos (Google Forms) and website visit data (Google Ads tag, reCAPTCHA), to host the form, show our ads and block spam.
• Resend receives contact form messages, to deliver them to our team by email.
• Vercel receives technical data such as IP addresses, to host our website.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or prevent fraud, or with a buyer if our business is sold.

Our website uses the Google Ads tag for remarketing. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to show our ads on sites across the internet to people who have visited our site. Our contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, which collects device and usage data. Both are covered by Google's privacy policy and terms.

You can turn off personalized Google ads in My Ad Center, or block cookies in your browser. Blocking cookies may stop the contact form, which relies on reCAPTCHA, from working.

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or the law requires.

• Order, payment and listing records: as long as Florida law requires a real estate brokerage to keep them.
• Identity verification data: kept by Stripe under its own privacy policy. You can ask us to have Stripe delete it, unless we need it to investigate fraud or a dispute.
• Property form answers and photos: while your listing is active, then with your order records.
• Contact form messages: as long as we need them to answer you and keep our business records.

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it.

• Access, correction and deletion: email info@floridarentalmls.com. We may need to keep some records the law requires.
• Your identity verification data: ask us to have Stripe delete it.
• Ads: turn off personalized ads as described in section 6.
• The identity check: you can choose not to complete it. We will then contact you about your order. Until your listing is published, your order is fully refundable; see our Refund Policy.

Depending on where you live, your state's law may give you more rights. We will honor them as that law requires.

Stripe handles payments and identity checks, so card numbers and ID images never reach our website. Only staff who need it can access our Stripe account and records. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Our service is for property owners and their representatives aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date at the top.
